Peas Masala


About the recipe:

Peas are a good source of vitamin C. This recipe is a delicious way of preparing this green peas. This can serve as a side dish for any flat bread, ghee rice or pulao.


  • Boiled green peas – 1 cup
  • Sliced onion – 1
  • Sliced tomato – 1
  • Sliced garlic – 5
  • Cumin seeds – 1/2 spoon
  • Chili powder – 1/2 spoon
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 spoon
  • Pepper powder – 1/2 spoon
  • Garam masala – 1/2 spoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil


  • Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and sliced garlic.
  • After the flavours have been infused in the oil add the sliced onion, turmeric powder and salt and saute till they turn light brown.
  • Now add sliced tomatoes and saute till they start loosing their texture.
  • Now add boiled green peas, chili powder, pepper powder and garam masla and toss well. Cook the dish covered for 5 mins. Green peas masala is ready.
